Nicely treed. Quiet. We could not get into American Heritage Campground close by. This is actually owned by the same people as American Heritage. There are cable plug-ins there but there is no cable. Friendly staff.
We had high hopes for this park. It is nice but has some caveats. It is under construction and has some gravel roads. The signage to enter was almost non-existent. There are a lot of park models but spaces between for motor homes. I think alot of these spaces are privately owned and are rented out if the owners are not in. The spaces are wonderful for a 5th wheel as the view would be out the back. But in a motorhome: you back in and the view is behind you!! You can't see the view from a motorhome. It is terraced, therefore, you are staring out of your front window into a bulkhead. The lanes are very narrow and it was difficult to back into our space without scraping the stone wall. (We did not scrape by the way.) The pool is very nice but cold, unheated. Restrooms and showers are only on one side of the park so if you are staying on the opposite side it is a long walk! There is alot to do here: wine tasting, hiking, boating. It is positively a beautiful area and nice and warm and sunny.
This park is immaculate. Quiet. Beautiful. They do charge $100 deposit for the pets but if you pick up after your pets, it is not a problem. The sites are large and grassy. The cable TV is a problem. We have a digital TV and had to set it up for the first time which was no big deal, but the channel lineup was non existent. We had to scroll through all the available channels to find them. The WIFI is also a problem. I didn't use it but spoke to people who didn't have a great signal. I used my Sprint card and experienced the same problem with connection. There is a lot to do here and we would DEFINITELY come back here!
This park is not very well suited to motorhomes over 30'. The spaces are all on top of each other. There is kind of a center patch of grass which everyone was backed up to, a group camp kind of feel: very crowded. The sites along the river are all booked way in advance! The river is very nice. You can grab a chair and just put your feet in and sit. The swimming pool closes early due to all the kids and not enough chemicals. The electrical hookups were old and our plug wiggled around in the connection. Our air conditioners would not turn on: in 100 degree heat! Luckily there was another hookup right beside the one that did not work, and that one worked fine.
Park is very well kept and tidy. Nice clean bathrooms. Spots are small and close together. Not enough places to walk. No swimming. Very remote. Close to Ike Kinswa camp ground so you can swim and walk there. Cable TV is great.Lots of channels. Overall a nice place!
A really nice park. Nicely treed!! We would come back here. In fact, we tried but they were booked. The staff were very nice. The pool looked nice although I did not swim in in. Nice large grassy field in the back for kids to play.
